My BIG birthday presents came today. Check them out:

Japanese gold/yellow PSP and Ikki Tousen (an all girls fighting game) Special Edition. It came with the game, a calendar, three collectable trading cards, and figurine. Pretty neat huh?!

The PSP is beautiful- absolutly beautiful! Recently Sony has released four new colors for the PSP in Japan. This yellow, a bright magenta, a brilliant turquoise, and a pretty green. I just LOVE this PSP. It's been charging all evening, so I'm going to go give it a spin! Later!!

Mood: Excited!
Watching: Aaron and a friend play MLB 09 The Show
Listening: Laundry, dishwasher, and the baseball game. Soon to be Ikki Tousen though!

TWO days until my birthday! Yay! I am totally spoiled. My mom bought me a bunch of yummy yummy groceries (including these "berry pouches" which are like mini fruit pies with crust wrapped almost all the way around them. They will be my birthday cake this year ), Aaron bought me a ton of super cute clothes from Japan/Hong Kong on Ebay, the new gorgeous yellow PSP, a special edition all girls fighting game (complete with a figure, stickers, a calendar, and more!), and Aaron's mom got me a super cute Vera Wang pajama, (It has thick black ribbons for straps and polka dots along the bottom). On Wednesday, both my sisters are going to take me out to lunch then we'll do some "shopping" but they won't elaborate. It's been a great birthday week!!

My parents are in Arizona right now for the Seattle Mariner's spring training. I'm very excited for them. They don't get to get away very often so I am happy they got to take this trip. I can't wait for them to come back and tell me all about the games they watched.

For the past few days I have been experiencing the horrible experience of having every single one of my teeth hurt. Not like I have cavities (which REALLY worried me at first), but it's more like if you were to clinch your jaws together really tight for a long time... *ouchies* Turns out this is because the weather is wreaking massive havoc on my sinuses. This winter has done nothing but beaten up my sinuses really bad. For most of my life I've had sinus problems, but not this bad. I've had to be put on two prescriptions just so I can breathe and not have my sinuses feel like they're filled with cotton. It's horrible.

Well I'm off to kick Aaron off his batting practice on MLB 09 The Show, so I can play my next game so he can progress. Let's hope he'll oblige and let me play. xD

NITE!

Mood: Getting tired, the tea didn't help too much and I am starting to feel a sinus headache... mind over matter, maybe?
Listening: L'Arc~en~Ciel - Nexus 4

Happy Friday everyone! Is everyone ready for an awesome weekend?! I am! A whole bunch of knitting, Final Fantasy XI, and listening to lots of awesome music.

One piece of music in particular has really got me going right now (I have to admit, it might be the Negra Modela talking xD) is Doves. Their latest release "Kingdom of Rust" is one of the most beautiful songs I have heard in a long while. Beautiful, epic, haunting, beautiful.

Here, let me show you!!

Isn't that just... beautiful? It makes my heart flutter. I LOVE songs that make my heart flutter.

Time to grab another beer!

Mood: flushed... my cheeks are flushed. I attribute it to the beer.
Listening: Aaron's going through more Sasquatch music. We've moved on from Doves to M83. Electronic bliss, pretty much.
Thinking: Writing a blog post would have gone a LOT faster if I didn't have to delete half of what I'm writing because of spelling errors. xD
Wearing: Too much at the moment. It's getting hot in the apartment. Guess that's a que to go put on PJ's!
Reading: I'm trying to get through Persuasion asap so I can read one of the books Aaron got me for Christmas. I think I'm going to read City of Ember next.
Playing: Still Pokemon Blue. I'm getting ready to ask someone to either help me or shoot me. xD
Listening: Now it's Beach House.

Late to the party as usual, I started a twitter. KnittedFox Yay!

Work was super productive today, I knitted 10 inches on the baby blanket I'm making for a friend.

Yesterday I got a hair cut and now I have bangs!

They're super cute I think *^^*

That's all for tonight. The cat is calling to be played with!

P.S. I think I might be coming down with something (*prays it's not my bi-yearly sinus infection *). Some Bedtime Tea and getting curled up on the couch reading Persuasion while Aaron finds new music from Sasquatch for us to listen to, sounds so nice right now. Nitenite!!

I can't begin to tell you how stupidly cold it is outside right now. I live in a desert and it's 24.6*f outside! That doesn't make any sense! So I figure the only way to get me warmed up is to put some loud music on and get moving. Since I'm at work my music can't be too loud, but Nine Inch Nails tends tends to be loud regardless of what you have the volume set at.

Here's my morning inspiration:

Pretty rocking music for the morning don't you think? What I LOVE about Nine Inch Nails, is that they aren't the scary, devil-worshiping band I thought they were. They were just loud and angry. But Trent Reznor isn't angry anymore so now he writes more straightforward rock music. I think he's a brilliant musician. (Not to mention HOT!)

In knitting news... a LOT has gotten done lately. One of my online friends is pregnant so I thought I would knit her some stuff. (I think I might have gone a little overboard):

An infant garter stitch sweater. It's just darling!

I knit this on circular needles, but the blanket is SQUARE! OH! And if you wash stuff made with acrylic yarn with hair conditioner it comes out ridiculously soft!!

I thought cotton yarn would make nice and durable baby bibs. So I made a few)

I'm going to start another baby blanket for her soon as well. It's going to be a pretty dark green with a slight yellow to it. The yarn is cotton. Yeah, I'm TOTALLY on a cotton kick!!

Time to get a'working! The boss comes back tonight so we have a lot of work to do today! Time to turn up Nine Inch Nails and get to it!

Mood: Even after a hot chocolate and turning the heat on, I'm still cold. I need to get moving xD
Drinking: Hot Chocolate
Listening: Nine Inch Nails - The Slip
Watching: Oh crap! I forgot to turn all the demo units on in the store! Oops!
Wearing: Not socks... I betcha that's not helping me being cold.

I hit the cotton jackpot last night. My mother-in-law pulled out three huge bags of cotton yarn and said I could take what I liked home. Here's what I took home that night.

It was so cool because I'm on a cotton knitting kick right now. Two baby sweaters and a few other things I'll blog about once I can get pictures.

With the yarn in the second picture I was thinking about knitting my niece a picnic blanket and napkins. Well, I'll either use those yarns or the once in the third picture. Can't quite decide yet. With the red yarn, I'm going to knit up a super hero cape for my nephew.

The other balls don't have projects tied to them yet, but I just HAD to have them. Maybe a tank top or shrug, or even a fanny pack. I was thinking a fanny pack would be perfect for Sasquatch because I don't want to have to worry about carrying my purse around or having it get stolen.

Speaking of Sasquatch, all the tickets have been purchased and all the arrangements have been made. We are going to have a blast! Crystal Castles has been added to the line up so that's another cool band we'll get to go see.

We're going to go see the Watchmen movie tonight after work, so I'm going to go so I can finish reading the comic before we go. Later!

Mood: Good
Listening: The new Morrissey album. I love I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris!!
Watching: Star Wars Episode 1 Racer demo
Wearing: My awesome tshirt with a clear tank on it with a pretty gold fish inside of it. Get it? Fish Tank?!

Oh dear! Aaron and I just for the line up for Sasquatch Music Festival this year. We are so excited we're moving money around to be able to by tickets as soon as they go on sale! The bands that we are psyched to see who will be there are:
Nine Inch Nails (on their LAST TOUR probably ever), of Montreal, Fleet Foxes, Animal Collective, Peter Bjorn and John, The Decemberists, Kings of Leon, TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jane's Addiction, M83, Grizzly Bear, Explosions in the Sky, Silverspun Pickups, and School of Seven Bells. There a ton of other artists coming as well.

In all honesty, I have never been super interested in going to Sasquatch because it's a three day event in the middle of nowhere and the line up has never been THIS GREAT! Tickets are going to be $150 each (OUCH!) and then camping is another $90. Luckily two of our friends are interested in going so that will cut costs slightly. d^-^ I have never been to something like this so I don't know what to expect. In other words, I'm a little nervous. Well, I guess I'm 10% nervous, 90% excited. This is going to be one HUGE party.

Anywho, time to get ready for my day!

Mood: psyched
Listening: music from lots of the different artists coming to Sasquatch.
Watching: Aaron download music from the bands we haven't hard of that are coming to Sasquatch like a mad fiend xD
Wearing: PJ's still. (It's NOON!) Time to shower and change.
Eating: Peaches and Cream oatmeal
Drinking: Will be snagging some tea here in a bit
Reading: Jane Austin's "Persuasion"
Knitting: Baby sweater for a friend

Hey there! Like the new layout? It only took me a couple of hours at work to do. It features Ayumi and Hagu from Honey and Clover, the manga I am currently reading. I'm only two books in, but I am really loving it!

Today I order the cutest little day planner: Mamegoma Little Seals. Lately I have felt that my brain hasn't been able to keep up with what's going on around me, so I figured I need something to keep all my thoughts and plan in. I was going to wait until April when we go to Seattle for SakuraCon, but that's in two months and I want something now. It should arrive by Saturday- I hope. *fingers crossed*

I have been a knitting fiend lately! I designed one neck warmer and am working on a second one. Patterns and pictures (when I actually take pics of these two) will be up on my Ravlery page. In the new Debbie Bliss I found the cutest baby sweater I want to knit for a couple of friends of mine. And I found a super cute hat for another friend of mine. ... and actually a backlog of projects that have been requested of me. The requests are going to have to wait though- I want to do all the fun stuff first!

Time for a late dinner! *waves*

Mood: Great other than a slight headache.
Watching: Aaron play the Yakuza spin off game. It has the characters from the Yakuza series, and it takes place in Japan during the Edo Period. Pretty amazing so far.
Listening: an old episode of GFW Radio.
Drinking: Green tea <3
Eating: haven't decided... what to have?

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. Mine has been stellar! Aaron and I have been playing through Yakuza 2 and we stayed up until 2:30am two nights ago to beat it. It's one of the best games we've ever played. Definitely Top 5 material. After we beat Yakuza 2, we started the spin-off game from the Yakuza series "Kanzan." We imported it from Japan, printed out the ginormous walkthrough/FAQ for it and are now going through it. Even though it is in Japanese, we are able to pick up bits of the dialogue that we recognize. But, even so, we have the walkthrough to tell us what people are saying, what is going on, and where to go. d^^b

I dedication to the awesomeness that is Yakuza 2, I (of course) made some PSP wallpapers.

While I haven't posted about it, I have been knitting a lot. I have been knitting neckwarmers and hats a lot. One of my goals for today is to take pictures of my newest knitted items. *crosses fingers I'll get it done* Today is a short day at work so I am sure I will have time to do it.

Also! I have been making bento lunches again. Pictures coming soon!

That's all for now though. It's time to take a shower and get ready for work. I got up early-ish today in hopes that I could get 100% ready for before we left for work today. Normally, I will get everything done but my makeup. :( The lighting at work isn't great for putting it on, so I generally won't do it there. Anyways! Time for a nice hot shower! *waves*

Mood: good
Listening: The Sukima Switch cd we ordered arrived yesterday so I know we'll be listening to that a lot today! ^_^b
Watching: Original Gundam
Eating: Corn Flakes xD
Drinking: Green Tea <3<3

Happy Saturday!

My sister has entered this Scholarship competition and the winner is based on how many votes each entry gets and how "viral" each entry is. She made a short movie for her entry. Would you please take a few minutes to check out her video and if you feel like it vote for her? It's a Lego movie set to White Stripes music:

Piecing Together My Favorite Toy

Thanks I appreciate it. <3<3
