#027 // 02.02.08 After a super long break, I'm back in action. I hit a pretty big wall a couple months back in regards to knitting and blogging. For some reason I was putting pressure on myself about what I should be writing about- I was figuring that unless I had something earthshattering and amazing to talk about, no one would be interested in what I have to say. But in reality, there's like five people who read my blog, so it doesn't really matter what I write about- lol! Then I was thinking my domain name was silly/dumb and a bit embarrassing so I wanted to stay away for a while. As far as knitting goes, I was feeling like I had to keep pumping out projects like I was competing or had something to prove. Knitting had lost it's joy for me. I think I've finally overcome my silliness and am ready to get back into the grove of things.Over the past couple weeks I've slowly been getting my knitting back out and been working on this little shrug from Knit.1. The last piece is almost done so I'll start sewing it together next. Although, I'm not confident in my sewing abilities so I'm going to see if I can get the help of one of the ladies at the knitting store to help. ^^ I'm really happy with this shrug so far, the yarn is grey and white and it's knitting up very beautifully. My fingers are crossed that this is will even turn out. So I guess the biggest news since I last posted was that Aaron and I went to Japan again. It was amazing. Want to see some pictures? *nod* *nod* Ok! Here they are!
![]() (This is me at Shinsaibashi-suji, an outdoor mall that's about 1.5-2 miles long. I think this is the NEATEST place to be in all the world. The second picture is Den Den Town, the electronic district at night. As far as you can see in the picture down this road is electronic shops, anime shops, book/manga/cd shops, and toy shops. These two places were where we spent most of our time.) <3 <3
![]() (This is Super Potato, the big new/used video game store chain in Japan. We spent SO MUCH MONEY there- haha. The second picture of Ginkakuji Temple, the biggest and most famous temple in Kyoto. We got to walk through the gardens and grounds, it was beautiful.)
![]() (This is us at one of our favorite restraunts ever having the best tasting pizza I have ever had in my life. Lol, isn't that kinda funny that the best pizza I've ever had was in Japan?) So that was just a small taste of our trip. We took over 300 pictures during out trip and I don't have enough space on my domain to add that many pictures- nor do I want to upload that many pics. ![]() Oh! I found these really cute Emoticons on Selphie's World today so I had to download them. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Mood Happy to be backListening to: Nirgilis - Snow Kiss Reading: Unfinished Tales by JRR Tolken and Christopher Tolken #026 // 10.19.07 There are SO MANY THINGS I want to knit right now. Like SERIOUSLY, there are so many great patterns out there right now! Like half the patterns in the new Interweave Knits, and a couple patterns from Knitty. Before I can get to them though, I need to get through all the stuff I'm working on now. The line up of projects right now is, a scarf for my sister that is made of knitted Wii remotes, a scarf for my husband, and a hat for myself (after I frog the one I recently made). We are leaving for Japan at the end of this month, and I would LOVE to have all these projects done before then- and I would really like to have another one or two projects started. If I just buckle down and focus on it (instead of focusing on playing games... *cough* teamfortress2*cough*), I know I can make it happen. My webhost changed the control panel layout the other day and now trying to do anything on it is a pain in the butt. On the upside though, I can clearly see how much space I have left. ... and I basically have maxed out my webspace. ;_; I guess having three websites will do that (this site, my husbands website, and my wallpaper site). I am not entirely sure what I'm going to do about this, because I want to keep all three sites going, and I'd like to add more pictures to this site but I don't want to until I get rid of something to make room for the pictures. Hmm... anywho, I am going to start taking some stuff off my control panel so I can upload pictures. *waves* Mood: Great Listening: 1Up Yours Video Game Podcast Reading: Children of Hurin by J.R.R. Tolken (Lol I'm such a nerd!) #025 // 10.10.07 About those pictures... yeah... hasn't happened yet. Somehow, without meaning to, I angered the Yarn Goddess and I am feeling her wrath. I finished the super-secret-project for my husband, and it ending up being too small for him (it was a beanie with a logo stitched onto it). The hat I was working on for me also turned out too small. That's projects 3 and 4 that haven't turned out. o.O It sucks, but it's ok. I wasn't happy with either one of the projects while I was working on them, so I can hardly be surprised when I don't like them when I'm finished with them. The hat I made for Aaron actually fits me so I've been wearing it around. It's a little on the big side, not too big though, (if it was any bigger it would be like a Rastafarian hat), but I like it.Aaron said he would like a scarf so I won't be remaking the hat- instead I will make the scarf and embroider the logo on to it. As far as my hat goes, it is getting frogged and I am going to make a totally new one. Well it's about time to get off work. TTYL! #024 // 10.01.07 Man, I must be loosing it or the Knitting Goddess is at her tricks again. I finished the scarf I was working on (pictures soon-ish...?) and then started a hat for myself and a super-secret-project for my hubby and I have already frogged his project twice. Thankfully it is not a big project (I am still sticking with small, easy, and basic projects right now). I was attempting to Fair Isle this project using a grid I printed out, but I must not be focusing because I keep messing up the colors. After the second frog, I decided to just duplicate-stitch the pattern onto the project. It is going to be a pain in the rear, but I think that I'll have better luck with it than trying to do it via Fair Isle.I LOVE the pattern for the hat I'm making for myself. I can't wait to be done with it. Expect pictures of that by Thursday or Friday at the latest. Ok, off to bed with me! Later! #023 - #021 They're gone!!! I don't know what happened to them! RIP my dear entries.
#020 Here's what I did last night:
